The solenoids are connected to electronic control board which controls the working of the timer. If the water continues to flow inside the machine even after the wash cycle is complete, it indicates that the inlet valve could be faulty. To check the condition of the inlet valve, cut the power supply to the residential appliance. If the water continues to fall in the tub, then the inlet valve is defective. Pressure and Water Level Switch
The water level switch of your washer is used to determine the water level in the wash tub. You will normally find this switch behind the machine’s control panel. In washing machines with electronic controls, this switch is usually located below the tub. When the water enters the tub, it pushes the air inside the diaphragm that is inside the switch. Once the correct water level is reached, the valve turns off and water supply to the machine is stopped. If there is a problem with the switch or if enough pressure is not created, the washer will overfill.
Before checking the condition of the switch, make sure you also check the condition of the air dome tube or hose that connects the switch to the tub. At times, the tube may be plugged or damaged, which will reduce the air pressure and prevent the valve from closing. To check the condition of the hose, remove in from the machine and submerge it in water. Close one end of the hose and blow air from the other end. If you notice bubbles in water, it means that the hose is damaged. At times, obstructions in the hose can reduce the air pressure inside the machine. If you notice any obstructions inside the hose, remove it immediately.
If you suspect that the water level pressure switch is the problem, you should check for signs of debris plugging or mechanical defects.
